About Baloo

Baloo has spent the last several weeks with a trainer and this is her assessment of him: Personality: He is very out going and loves belly rubs (he will fall asleep). He will run into his crate if you have a treat on hand. Large men makes Baloo nervous and weary(I have only noticed this behavior once in awhile in public). He does very well with kids, he rolls over for belly rubs! He is treat and attention motivated! He will sit right next to you for pets and belly rubs! When it is still for a walk, he sits and waits for his leash! he does very well with schedule walks and naps! He loves to explore outside! He uses his nose a lot! He does not know when to calm down so when I tell him down next to me. He falls asleep instantly! He needs direction and love. He is a talker! He talks when it is time to eat, when we go on walks, or just anything that gets him excited! He hates it when you blow on his face! He will bark and do a play bow! He knows: sit, down, out, off, potty trained, stay, crate trained He needs work: heel(getting better), off leash recall, running outside (getting much better), leave it (He knows it but will try to get away with it) Overall: He hates being told what to do, but he responds well to anything fun like treats and belly rubs! He needs a dedicated owner who will not let bad behavior slide(he is still learning). He needs a owner that will take him for plenty of walks to get him tired! A large yard is a must. He does not climb fences but he is the type of dog to bury his bones in the yard. He loves antlers for chew treats.
