About Valentine

This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. Forever home needed for Valentine. Valentine is a 3-4 year-old English bulldog/pitbull mix. She was adopted from Arizona Humane Society after being found stray. She had serious ear infections that were treated and now resolved. She has typical bulldog allergy issues and is maintained on daily allergy medication and limited ingredient (prescriptive) dog food. She also has dry eye which requires daily eyedrops. She weighs 55 lbs and is spayed and micro-chipped. Val was clearly someone's pet--she is housebroken, LOVEs affection, likes all people (men and women; however has not been around children), doesn't jump on people, very rarely barks, doesn't destroy anything, walks on a leash, and apparently is used to sleeping on the bed with her humans. :) She is very intelligent. Added bonus #1: she doesn't snore and isn't gassy like most bulldogs! :) Added bonus #2: She doesn't lick to show her affection. Instead, she gently nuzzles you--it's adorable. She is being rehomed due to her intense dog and cat aggression. Unfortunately, the AHS was not aware of her animal aggression at the time of adoption, but she would make a wonderful pet for someone with the right home environment who understands and will manage her animal aggression responsibly. Val needs a home without any other animals and with a block-walled yard (so she cannot get in contact with another animal through a fence). Valentine has had limited exposure to children since adoption. However, she was friendly and polite with neighborhood kids approximately 10-12 years old. She should not be in a home with small children or an elderly person due to her size and strength.
