About Athena

Meet Athena! Athena is about 2 year's old. She is house trained, and very smart. Like all young dogs she has the typical puppy type behaviors and needs some training but will learn fast. She does well on a leash but needs training there too. Athena loves people and other dogs, she is very, very playful. She is also quiet. She is very mischievous,a trait I love. She will chase a ball and return it, unusual for a Husky. Unlike many Huskies she does not seem interested in escaping but rather wants to play or be by your side. She would NOT do well caged or kenneled so we're looking for someone who would like to have her by your side a lot and will be patient with her. She was a death row Husky and does not trust easily. She needs someone who has PATIENCE and will take the time to work with her. At the moment she's about 45lbs, small for a husky. Athena has a beautiful medium length, low maintenance coat. Like most Huskies she prefers to be active: walks, runs, hiking, etc. Her adoption fee is 200.00 and includes spay, microchip, month of free pet insurance and being up to date on shots up to adoption.
