About Evie

Evie is a purebred Treeing Walker Hound. She was rescued from a situation where she was not going to be treated for having parvo - which is cause from not being vaccinated as a puppy. She received treatment and recovered wonderfully! However, Evie deserves a home where she can play and run more. A country environment would be amazing for her, or someone with another high energy dog. She loves playing with other dogs, to fetch, chase a laser pointer, and carry around stuffed animals. She is a big goofball. When her energy is out, she loves to cuddle and get kisses, and just be around you. She does well with the two young kids she lives with now, but I put no kids mainly because when she is excited, she jumps. That is nothing some discipline and exercising couldn't fix - along with her growing up. She does howl, that comes with hound territory. She is potty trained and crate trained. She does need more work with basic commands and discipline, but she is okay with it. She wants to please you! But it's hard when she has this energy. Her current family were the ones who saved her - but they already had a small house, an elderly dog, and both work full time with two kids. Evie needs more attention! They love her and want the absolute best for her!
