[Read About Natural Seizure Care] Jolene is for sure one of my favorite fosters! This girl will make you smile on any given day. Jolene was born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia. This basically means when she was born the part of the brain that controls her motor functions (movements) was not fully developed. So because of that she experiences body tremors and head bobs. These movements cause her no pain and will not get worse as she gets older. She doesn't even know she is any different, since she has dealt with this her whole life. She does not require any medication, although we do have them on CBD oil and we believe it has helped Jolene a bit since coming to us. Jolene and her 2 sisters, Jada and Joplin found themselves on the 'Urgent List' at the Memphis Animal Shelter and trust me that is not the list you want to be on. I kept watching to see if anyone was going to pull this trio, but no one did, so I decided to take the chance on them and get them out and into our rescue. I am so glad I did! They are simply amazing! They are no different than any other pup, other than they have a bit more giddy up in their step! Jolene is 7 months old and 25 lbs. We think she is a Blue Tick Hound with maybe some Heeler mixed it. We expect she will be medium sized when full grown. She is up to date on her shots, spayed, micro chipped and on flea and tick as well as heart worm prevention. She is doing great at potty training, but this is something that would still need to be worked on in her new home. Jolene can go up and down stairs, sometimes it takes her a bit longer to steady herself at the top or bottom, so her ideal home would have minimal stairs and preferably a fenced yard. She loves running out in the back yard and would love another dog to play with as well. She does good with other dogs of all sizes. Please take a moment to watch the video. Don't feel sad for her. Jolene is currently located in Tennessee and the adoption fee is $250. Jolene will only be adopted within a 2 hour radius of Cookeville, TN.
