Buddy is a very friendly, family dog who requires extended outside time and mental stimulation; i.e., agility class, herding class, frisbee fetch or ball fetch. The ONLY reason I have to rehome our precious Buddy is because he is barking constantly and it is disturbing our neighbors (we live in a subdivision). This is due to Buddy not getting enough mental stimulation, from what I have researched, and not enough of what he was bred for (herding) and A LOT of freedom to be in a large, safe environment where he can get lots of exercise. I feel it is not fair to Buddy to be left alone for up to eight hours a day inside of the house. When we adopted Buddy, we were told he was an Aussie/Border Collie mix, but I have come to the conclusion that he may well be a purebred Border Collie!! Our hearts are breaking, but we must do what is best for BUDDY!! I also insist on an interview and an onsite look at whomever is interested in adopting this wonderful dog, and also would like to request a few visits after adoption so my children can be less sad about this whole situation. Please don't respond if or until you know what is involved in caring properly for a Border Collie. Thank you so much.
