We need help rehoming our senior beagle/hound mix, Happy Dog. We adopted her from the Stanly County Humane Society in January 2019 and soon thereafter learned that our sweet old girl has intense anxiety and does not mix well with other female dogs. She loves our cats and people of all ages and our two male dogs. She is crate-averse and can bend crate wires easily. She is heartworm positive and being treated by Piper Glen Animal Hospital. She would be best in a home with only male dogs and an owner that either works from home or is home most of the time. Alternately, she enjoys going to work with me and sleeps in her bed most of the time in my office. She sleeps most of the day and loves sleeping at the foot of the bed at night without any problems. She loves to lay in the sun in our backyard and is very gentle with kids and adults alike. She truly is love. She shows some food guarding, but does fine if she is fed in a separate area from other pets. She is not food aggressive with people.
