Owner simply stated they could no longer care for the dogs. CPR pulled from the shelter. Special Needs: Gizzie needs an experienced chihuahua owner and a low traffic home What kind of home would be best for me: Gizzie can be a sweet, warmly affectionate dog - to the right owner. To the owner she respects and adores. Her list is short. She loves her regular caregivers and food does mean love but others who enter her area need to beware. We are looking for a very dog/chihuahua or pomeranian experienced owner who understands Gizzie (and her canine buddies as Gizzie loves other dogs) want their home quiet and with few visitors. What is my personality like: To her person she can be very sweet and loving. To the rest of the world she snaps and will grab pant legs and shake. I think she will bite if provoked. She has also learned when strangers walk in that they often carry treats and then they are allowed to pass. But you have to pay toll every time you come into her cottage! How do I act when I first meet new people: If she is not on her home turf, she is wary and afraid but not snappy. If she is comfortable at home, she is ferocious. Tips and Tidbits: I know it sounds like there isn't much to like her but that is not correct. In the right quiet home, Gizzie will become a BFF and no one will ever break in on you. She enjoys other dogs and would have no trouble being part of a greater group of someone who simply loves dogs more than people. House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
