About Jolene

Jolene was pulled from a rural North Louisiana shelter, hours before her scheduled euthanasia. She had turned in after a good Samaritan had witnessed her thrown from a moving truck. She was fostered by me with cats, a nursing mom, small puppies and people and was sweet as could be. Cats sometimes she wanted to chase. She was adopted but even though it was expressed how much time and energy was needed to help her be the best dog, they didn't follow suggested protocols and left her unattended long days. What does a smart super active hound do when bored? Chew stuff. They are returning her. Jolene needs country outdoor access. To run and play as her breed requires. She's loving , sweet and wants to please. She would do best with another dog in the household. She's about 44# but could use to put on a few more. If the right fit was found, could consider lowering our adoption fee. She's located in New Orleans.
