About Poe

My name is Poe. I am 3. I'm spayed and i've had my rabies shot. I'm a sweet and sassy girl, i love to be held in your lap and will let you carry me around most of the day if you want. I love to play with toys and i'm so silly with catnip! I admit, i'm having a hard time finding a good home fit for me, i have Cerebellar Hypoplasia (look up 'wobbly cat syndrome' she's mild to moderate).. Which just means i don't have the best motor skills so i fall, shake and bounce a lot. I CAN'T pass it to you or other pets, i was born this way. I can walk, but i wobble and sometimes fall. But i don't mind and always get back up. To me, i'm a normal cat. You'd be surprised the places i can get! But, at least i don't scratch furniture. You may need to wipe me down with a damp wash cloth a few times a month. I'm a floor dust collector! I can eat on my own using a heavy bowl with low sides. I go potty in the litter, I prefer clumping and scooped regularly. I have to lay in the litter to go potty, ya know?! Despite all of the 'shortcomings' that some may call them.. I'm beautiful, sweet and a lot of fun once i'm used to you. I'm shy and may get scared easily at first and need to be held closely, i sometimes get scared. But i dont bite or scratch. Im ok with dogs and kids. I get along with other cats, but sometimes it takes them a little while to warm up to me. But i promise, ill get there eventually! They just don't understand my cool head bobs! I live with a 7 year old kid, 5 other cats and a big dog right now, so as long as you give me time i can warm up to just about anything! It'd be WONDERFUL to go home with someone who is experienced with my condition or disabled cats, but not a must if you're willing to learn and accept my little quirks.
