About Bear

*** ADOPTION PENDING *** Who doesn't love a cuddly teddy bear?! Well that's exactly what our Bear is! This gentle 6 year old 80 lb Shepherd/Chinook mix has the biggest heart with so much love to give. Bear absolutely loves making new friends and has never met another pup he didn't want to be best friends with. He gets the biggest smile on his face when he gets attention and loves belly rubs, but his favorite thing in the world is treats! He also loves to chase the ball and run around puppy-style in the yard. He is a bit nervous when on the leash and just wants to take things slowly; he looks to his person for comfort, and quickly bonded with his foster mama. He knows basic commands, is crate trained and is eager to please. Now he is just waiting for the perfect home to give this beautiful boy all the love he deserves! All fields on the application must be completed in order for our volunteers to process it (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/) Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy, and our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care, so please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested prior to submitting. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health and safety of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering, and microchipping before transporting our dogs. Then, we provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you.
