About Pirate (west)

IN IMMEDIATE DANGER OF EUTHANIZATION PIRATE - A4224678 This is PIRATE. He is a neutered male, white and brown American Bulldog. The shelter staff thinks he is about 11 years old, and he has been at the shelter since Mar 10, 2019. Pirate's owner passed away. He was brought in by the owner's son, claiming Pirate was guard dog and only the owner could handle him. He's about 104 pounds. He's huge and actually VERY friendly. He's a lot of work to walk at first but he calms down when he's outside the shelter. Pirate is learning to walk on a leash so sometimes he just walks behind you because he's unsure of where to go. He may have issues with vision because of his age. He is a very sweet dog and probably misses his owner. Please come down to meet Pirate. If you have a pet at home bring them in for a supervised meet and greet. We want Pirate to fit into a good family for his remaining years.
