This is T-Bone - a 3.5 year old bloodhound mix, who weighs approx. 90 pounds. Like most dogs, his favorite things include playing with the same toy for hours (a black rubber kong), going for rides, playing fetch until he can't anymore, and carrying his favorite stuffies around the house gingerly. He's also a big fan of the dog park (even without other dogs in it) and hanging out at the brewery with people, kids, and dogs to meet. I joke that T-Bone is on his first pass at Earth - he's never lived any other lives and so everything is a new experience to him. He's always excited, happy, and full of joy. I've actually never met a more loving dog, which is what makes writing this post so hard. He is great with other dogs and isn't cat aggressive but hasn't spent much time with them. He also loves children but is big and all muscle so maybe not the best choice for tiny children. He is crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night but would love nothing more than to be in bed with you every evening. He is neutered, micro-chipped, and up to date on all vaccines. He also just had a full exam with clean fecal and bloodwork. He is actively on flea, tick and heartworm prevention. T-Bone was my boyfriend's dog and after a recent breakup, he was left with me - unfortunately, we moved from our house with a giant fenced yard to an apartment and T-Bone is not leash trained and is adjusting poorly. While I have been working on leash training as much as possible, I think I have to also recognize that he would be happiest with a fenced yard and a family with more time to spend exploring and having fun together. Additionally, I am chronically ill - I have had two major neurosurgeries and have a neuromuscular disease - and am realizing that training is likely not safe for either him or me. SOME LOGISTICS: 1. I will require a vet check. 2. I will require a home check. At this point, a fenced yard is likely a 'must have' for me to consider re-homing him. 3. I am open to a trial adoption. 4. I would ask that he be returned to me if at some point he was no longer a good fit for you.
