About Reeba

Ms. Reeba will be with us 9 months as of Christmas day. As some of you may remember - she came in and we had no idea she was expecting puppies. The day before she was scheduled to be spayed she surprised us by giving birth to her puppies. The only one that survived out of that litter was Mr. Rupert (who was adopted when he was old enough). Ms. Reeba is probably a Shiloh Shepherd mix and she is big girl pushing 90 lbs. She was unfortunately heartworm positive in addition to having babies so those two things collectively forced her to stay in the shelter an extra length of time. As of last week we had her rechecked after all of her heartworm treatment and we are thrilled to announce she is now heartworm NEGATIVE. Reeba is 4 1/2 years old - is a beautiful girl with an amazing personality. She LOVES to go for walks. She LOVES kids - she walked in the Parade last week and had to kiss every kid down the parade path. She is dog selective so will need to be the only dog in the home. She does have a high prey so cats would not be good with her around. She is housebroken - not destructive and really not very vocal. PLEASE help us find her a home by sharing her post. We have been talking with other rescues about her in the event we are not able to find her the right spot and are tossing around the idea of letting her move somewhere else to get new eyes on her that has a foster home available that has no other dogs. The goal is NEVER to leave a dog sit in a shelter for such an extended period of time - the dog doesn't deserve that. She is happy around here - tail is always wagging and she is always more than happy to have someone play with her, walk her or just sit and love on her. She deserves life other than a shelter.
