About Snow

Little Snow is exactly like a snowflake; unique, fragile, beautiful and oh so precious. She is about 1 year old and about 10 lbs. Poor Snow must have had a rough past. You can tell she is trying to forget and learn to trust. A lot of things are new to her and new things can be pretty scary. She will need time, patience, and a forever family who can diligently work on socializing her as well as building her confidence. It will be well worth the wait and effort! She is a sweet, loving, gentle, and (at times) spunky little girl. She is great with other dogs and is good with people once she has the time to warm up to you. Right now, her ideal home won't have young children. Her foster mom doesn't think she would ever bite/react to kids but lots of loud noises and kids running around would scare her. In the future, she may do well with kids (after working with her more). In her past, she was probably kept indoors and was never allowed outside. She has been successfully potty trained and will not potty inside! If you say, 'lets go outside' or 'lets go potty' she will run to the back door with her tail wagging and happily go potty in the yard. She probably never had a collar or leash put on her before. She is doing well with learning how to walk with a collar, harness and leash. She just won't go to the bathroom on the leash yet. So her ideal forever home would need a yard. She loves going on walks around her foster's neighborhood aka 'her territory'. However she lacks confidence to walk well in strange new places. If she is too scared in a new place, her foster mom has to carry her. She is great with letting people hold her and carry her as long as it is a person she knows and trusts. She loves to lay in her dog bed as well as her crate. If the crate door is open, she will willingly go in it. She does enjoy some cuddle time her favorite human. She can jump up on the couch and bed. She loves to cuddle with her foster parents in bed at night. She is slowly becoming very loyal and affectionate. She understands 'no', 'go potty', 'hush' and 'come'. At home and around the neighborhood she likes to assert herself around strangers and will bark at people on the other side of the fence or people she meets on walks. She is very sassy and spunky at home and around her territory. She will hog the dog beds and run away with her doggy foster siblings favorite toys. She will dig tiny holes in the yard and roll around in the dirt as well as run around with the other dogs. She is very funny and such a joy to have around! It is hard to not fall madly in love with this precious girl. She is a sweet little angel who just needs a loving forever home where she can continue to learn how to trust, love and have confidence. Snow's adoption fee is $325.00 - She is up to date on all her vaccinations and chipped.
