DAYZIE - A3145983 This is Dayzie, a 1 year old spayed female, red and white American Pit Bull Terrier mix. She has been at the shelter since Mar 17, 2019. Dayzie was surrendered by her owner because they were moving, and couldn't take her with them. Dayzie is a very sweet, high energy girl who does suffer a little from separation anxiety. She is recommended for children ages 12 and up. She loves to play fetch with a tennis ball, and will actually bring it back to you. Loud noises scare her when she is in the kennels, as it's very loud and chaotic in there. She is easy to walk on a leash, and would make a great walking or hiking buddy. Dayzie will cuddle up with you, or go play in the kiddie pool. She knows 'sit', and is very well mannered. She gets along very well with most dogs, and actually came in with a mate. Dayzie has a high prey drive, so would probably not do well with small dogs or cats or small children. ayzie has been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. This is easily treatable and curable, probably explains why she is skinny. These several factors have led to a decision to put Dayzie on the euthanasia list unless adopted very, very soon.
