Teddy is a 5 yr old very sweet male Chihuahua. Teddy was an owner surrender. He came from a family where he lived with several large dogs. Unfortunately a child in the home developed allergies so they were no longer able to keep him. Teddy knows how to be part of a pack, so he will do fine in a home with other dogs, although he would have no problem being an only dog as well. He loves to love and would cuddle all day if you are able. Teddy is hesitant when he first meets someone new, but warms up pretty quickly. However, it will take a bit longer with men. At first he growled and barked at foster dad, but now snuggles with him just as much. He just needs time to trust. Teddy does get possessive of the 'mom', so a dog savvy person is preferred. Teddy is fully housebroken, crate trained and leash trained. He enjoys walks on a leash as well as exploring the backyard. He's not much of a barker on his own, but happily joins in with the rest of my dogs. Teddy would do best in an adult home. He seems unsure of fast movements or play fighting. He does not enjoy and reacts negatively to any 'play fighting', wrestling, or any behavior he might interpret as aggressive. In a calm mature household, you couldn't ask for a sweeter companion. **Teddy is currently being fostered in Grayslake, IL** Teddy weighs 10lbs, is current with his vaccines and is fully healthy.
