About Gia

Our girl Gia is a very special girl who needs a super special adopter. Gia was rescued from Miami-Dade Animal Services in December 2017. She was confiscated from the home she was living at, and was scheduled to be euthanized the day we pulled her out. Although we don't know the details of the confiscation, her behavior shows that she was in some ways abused. Gia is spayed and is a heart worm survivor. She would be perfect for someone who lives alone and is looking for a protective dog as she is VERY protective over the person who cares for her. She is not dog friendly, and she most certainly cannot be around cats. Due to her protection over her owner, it's best not to have children around her even though there have never been any incidents. Gia is sweet, very playful, and loves to cuddle. She's a small pitty at about 50lbs but is very strong on the leash. She does well walking until she see a cat. Our trainer is working on this behavior with her. Please help us find the perfect home for Gia, she deserves a second chance, and someone to match love that she has to give.
