A5255133 Pebbles is a gentle 3-year-old lilac-and-fawn spayed Pit Bull and Weimaraner mix who was surrendered to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center for no stated reason on February 9th. Weighing 52 lbs, Pebbles is a lady in every sense of the word, carrying herself delicately and with impeccable manners. She handles well on leash and already knows 'sit,' but could use more practice. The shelter environment is too chaotic for her taste, so Pebbles may be a little shy and reserved at first. But she warms up quickly, once her trust is earned, she shows her sweet, curious, alert side and turns to her handler for comfort and reassurance. Pebbles would do best as an only dog until she has more socialization; she can get overwhelmed around other dogs (although we wouldn't be surprised if she's a lot more confident once she gets out of the shelter and starts to really enjoy other dogs). This loyal sweetheart will bond closely with whoever is lucky enough to take her home.
