About Peanut

Peanut is a shy 4.5 year old Chihuahua mix looking for his forever home. He weighs 15.8 pounds and is full grown. Peanut needs a home that will let him warm and and adjust at his own pace. When meeting new people, he needs a slow introduction, he doesn't like to rush into new relationships. Peanut does well with men and women, but needs a home with no children under the age of 18. He is good with other non dominant small dogs who let him have his own space. Once he warms up he wouldn't mind playing with his canine companions. Please bring anyone living in the home to meet with him before adoption, including any dogs living in the home. Peanut is house broken, kennel trained, knows how to use a doggy door, walks good on a leash and rides well in the car. He also has a few tricks up his sleeves! Peanut knows how to sit, shake, and lay down. He needs a home that understands he does not like to share his food and would do best separated from any other dogs and given space away from people while he is eating. Peanut will bond with his person very strongly and does not like to see them leave him behind, he would love someone who is home more often than not due to his separation anxiety. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and vet checked. His adoption comes with 30 days of free pet insurance, and comes with a free vet visit. His adoption fee is $240.
