About Tucker

Tucker is a quirky 1 year old Terrier mix looking for a forever home just as special as himself. He weighs 18.6 pounds and is full grown. Tucker is quite the ladies man and loves women. He is very shy at first, he prefers if new people get on his level and allow him to come to them first. Of course, he can be a bit swayed if you have treats, the good kind naturally. Tucker is very fearful of men and if there are any men in the home, they will need to understand it will take Tucker time to become comfortable around them and to not expect a fast relationship. It will take time and patience before he builds the confidence to build trust with men. Tucker has been around children but they must be older and understand he needs to come to them first. Once Tucker is comfortable he doesn't hold anything back! Underneath his timid behavior is a goofy puppy who is looking for a person he can give all his love to. Tucker is super affectionate once he is comfortable and will try to tackle his people for kisses! He loves to be outside and run around in the yard. So far he has liked to hang out with people in the yard, chase birds and play with tennis balls and rope toys! Tucker has done well with other dogs of all sizes, as long as they give him his space. He needs a slow introduction with other canines so he does not get overwhelmed. Please bring along the whole family to meet Tucker, including any dogs living in the home. Tucker is house broken, kennel trained, and rides well in the car. He would do best kenneled when no one is home, he likes to entertain himself by chewing on things when left alone. Tucker is a diamond in the rough and can't wait to shine for his forever home! He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and vet checked.
