About J.J. (West)

American Staffordshire Terrier mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

J.J. - A4193894 My name is JJ. I am a spayed female, brindle and white American Staffordshire Terrier. The shelter staff think I am about 4 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Dec 28, 2018. JJ is a very sweet dog looking to please! Just her way of being is so silly and quirky. She is such a love bunny. She cowers if hands move too quick or if she is sternly spoken to, so a calm home would be best. She did okay with other dogs. It sounds like she was overstimulated and remained vigilant with multiple dogs around her in a strange place. She has no leash manners and will pull you down the block if you let her. But she is so eager to please, it'll be easy to teach her to be calm. A 'gentle leader' or front clipping harness would be helpful as well. J.J. been in the shelter over 2 months, and may begin to show signs of kennel deterioration. This happens to all social animals eventually when they have been incarcerated for long periods of time. They need social interaction whether with other dogs or people. Unless J.J. is adopted soon, she may be facing euthanasia. 'URGENT' If you have no breed restrictions, please call ASAP = 520-800-4633
