About Moxie

MOXIE THE MIRACLE! Moxie is an adorable five pound male chihuahua, approximately two years old. We rescued him from the shelter after several pleas went out that this poor little boy had suffered trauma, either dropped, or hit by a car, and was unable to stand. We rescued him, and indeed, our vet conformed that he could not stand at all. We put him on medication and made and appointment with a neurologist for a few days later. We brought him top his foster home on Xmas Eve. He was very excited to be with other little chihuahuas and was motivated! He started to pull himself up and wag his tail. On Xmas Eve a miracle happened ... Moxie started to walk and went ouside with all the dogs! He fell over a few times but got right back up. When we took him to the neurologist he was very impressed with his quick recovery. Now, several months later, Moxie is a normal, healthy, active and feisty little chap! He has gained weight and is now neutered. He loves little female dogs but has a best friend Brownie, who is a boy. He clearly needs to be in a home with other little dogs. We are looking to place him in a home with no small kids, as we cannot risk him being dropped, also a calm environment with owners who are not gone all day and who are experienced small dog owners, and who have lots of time and love to give our little miracle boy! Moxie is vaccinated , microchipped and neutered. WE ONLY ADOPT IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA DUE TO WE REQUIRE A HOME CHECK AND TRIAL PERIOD.
