About Velvet

We absolutely love Velvet and it kills me to give her up. Unfortunately, her personality has changed since we brought our baby home 6 months ago. She's become more aggressive with our 3 other dogs and I think it's because she's attention starved and unsure of how she fits into the new pack order. In the last 2 days her behavior has changed from aggressive to violent. On 2 separate occasions she has started fights with our other dogs. We need to separate them before another fight breaks out. We don't have the time or resources to correct this problem. We will be turning her over to the county shelter on Saturday after 5 wonderful years with our family. Given her breed, high energy and dominant personality she will almost certainly be put down at the shelter. I'm hoping one of you can help us find a forever home for Velvet before then. She really is great with people, just not other animals.
