About Bucky

Adoption Fee: $250
Chihuahua
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Folklore says that buckeyes bring good luck and prevent rheumatism, arthritis and headache. And while we aren't sure this is true about ordinary horse chestnuts, this little fellow definitely can make you feel better and warm up your lap so that little pains and aches go away. Bucky is a 5 year old male Chihuahua mix who weighs 8 lbs. We aren't sure about what he is mixed with, sometimes he looks like a Pomeranian with his little fluffy curly tail, and sometimes we see a Boston Terrier in his sweet short nosed face. But like any typical Chihuahua, he loves to be with, and preferably on, his people. Bucky is a calm fellow. He is good with his family and loves to snuggle. He can stay near you for hours, quietly napping on your lap or on a dog bed besides you. Sometimes he would get playful and spunky, especially after a walk or around another small dog. Bucky rides very well in a car and walks great on a leash. He gets along pretty well with our two dogs and two cats, but all he really wants is his human companions, therefore, he would be good as the only dog. Due to his small size he would be best in families with no small children. Bucky is crate trained, however, we never had any reason to crate him, because he was never caught stealing food, chewing on things or even jumping on the furniture. Most of time he spends alone he is asleep on his bed. Bucky is very funny. He as his special assortments of sounds, and can even mew when he is really eager to get a treat. However, he is not a greedy eater and isn't protective of his food.
