About Summer

Adoption Fee: $300
Australian Cattle Dog / Boxer
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Hi, my name is Summer! According to my DNA test I'm part cattle dog and boxer! My foster parents say they 'love me to pieces.' Not sure what that means, but I think it's a good thing. I'm a pretty, young girl who loves to be petted and weigh 35-40 pounds. I'm housebroken, crate- trained, have all my shots and spayed. I'm ready to go! What's special about me? The list is long so let's just say I have excellent hearing to alert you of trouble - did you notice my ears? I have a compact muscular body making me a healthy pal for walks and activities of all kinds. I've become good at meeting new people and sometimes offer my paw and give little kisses. I can jump high and run fast, and would be great at agility! You'll laugh at my goofy ways and swoon when you look into my eyes. Finally, I look great in black, so no 'little black dress' for me! High on my list is a family who can help me with my separation anxiety. I love my people so much that I don't like being without them. If I'm outside playing, rest assured that I'll check on you regularly to make sure you're OK. But, I'm young and will learn that you'll come back home after shopping for my treats. I enjoy playing with other dogs and I'm all for teens, just no small kids as I have no experience. I love being outdoors so a fenced yard sure would be great! After a fun day, let's just snuggle and watch Nat Geo Wild. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
