About Ollie

Ollie is desperately looking for his forever home! Please read entire ad before messaging me about him. Ollie is a 4 year old Purebred German Shepherd. He is neutered and UTD on shots. He DOES have a bite history! He suffers from fear aggression. He has spent the past 6 weeks at a board and train facility to work out these issues but his new adopter will need to work extensively for the rest of his life to manage it. His trainer has agreed to work with his new adopter to teach them different techniques on handling him. Most of his bites have been situational where his handler put him in an uncomfortable situation.. Ollie at home is an amazing dog, he is incredibly loyal, very smart, great house manners, non destructive, very sweet cuddly boy. He is just very leary of strangers as most shepherds are. His ideal adopter would have a fenced yard (not mandatory), shepherd experience, no cats, submissive other dogs okay, lots of time to dedicate to him, comfortable using a muzzle anytime you are out in public with him, and a home with minimum traffic. (If you are a home that entertains guests frequently he may not be the dog for you) Jon and I have had little to no trouble with him since we are very assertive handlers with him. He is a fantastic dog but he is running out of time. He has been adopted and returned several times due to people not following our directions with him.. You must be willing to sign an adoption contract, provide vet references, and meet with his trainer.
