About Sissy

Scooter and Sissy came to Puppy Pals Rescue as owner surrenders. They were well taken care of by their previous owner. They are brother and sister--same parents but from litters about six months apart. Both are about five pounds. Scooter is four and a half years old and Sissy is four years old. Both have blonde coats and are Yorkie, Papillon, and Chihuahua mix. Scooter looks more like a Yorkie to me and Sissy looks like a Papillon. I guess it just depends on how the genes come together since they come from a mix of three breeds. THEY ARE A BONDED PAIR AND ARE TO BE ADOPTED TOGETHER. The adoption donation fee for each dog is $275, so $550 for the pair. Both have very sweet dispositions and love people. Scooter will come up to you right away to give kisses but Sissy will take a few minutes to warm up to you. Sissy and Scooter are always together and sleep in the same crate together at night. Scooter is the laid back guy and Sissy will talk to you when she needs something. Both love to lay and rest next to a person. Both love to run and play in the backyard. They run and are very fast. Sissy would love to go meet the horses next door--she is very curious about them-- and will try to find an opening in the fence to go for a visit. For this reason a secure fence will be needed to adopt these lovelies. Sissy will play with toys and once in a while Scooter will join her. Both get along well with other dogs their size. There is a cat here and they just watch the cat but do not give chase. Because of their small size, it would be best there not be children under six in their adoptive family. Both just love to be around people. Both have been examined by a Veterinarian, up to date on all their shots, heart worm tested (negative), fecal tested (negative), micro chipped, and given their heart worm and flea preventative. Scooter has been neutered and Sissy has been spayed. They were both groomed and did well except they did not like to have their claws trimmed. They are 95 % potty trained and if it is raining or very cold outside they will use potty pads as they did at their previous home. They just do not like to go out in the rain. Since we are going through a warm spell now, they go to the door and potty outside. Both walk fine with a leash and come when called. Both are very loving and sweet pups looking for a new home. The previous owner surrendered them because they were not getting enough people time so they need to be adopted by a person or family that is at home a lot so they can get the attention they deserve. An empty nest person or family, single or married person working from home, or a retired couple would be great for Scooter and Sissy. We do not adopt out pups during Christmas to avoid people trying to adopt them as Christmas presents, so they will be placed after January.
