About Neko

This sweet kitty has been our family pet for 13 years. He is registered with the ACFA and is chipped. He was a good pet for our two younger kids, and now is very tolerant with 1- and 4-year-old granddaughters (who live with dogs, btw, so are not savvy to cat ways). He always comes to the door to meet new people. He loves to 'hang out' by you, but isn't so much of a lap kitty (I think because he was a singleton), though being a ragamuffin, he lets you hold him and can be persuaded to snuggle. He had a golden retriever mix sister until she passed away a couple of years ago, and they got along well. Even though he is 13, he doesn't seem old. He jumps up on the barstool-height chair to hang with us in the kitchen, and will play actively for short bursts. We are moving out of the country. Our kids are grown and both associated with the military, and are not in a position to take him. I have to say, I will not let him go to just anyone. I want to know that he will be happy and better off.
