About Boomer

Boomer, or Boom Town as he is affectionately known, is the houndiest hound out there. He sniffs ALL THE THINGS & then he sniffs them again. He likes to explore or play most of all & gets along great with other dogs (even the grumpy ones). He LOVES to watch whatever might be going on outside the window & knows that it's really important to bark excitedly at the mail carrier. The Boom is getting used to being crated with his foster is at work & while he is a bit noisy at first he settles down after a bit & does well when left with a toy or two to keep him occupied. He would do best in a home willing to work with him on his basic obedience but he's a smart cookie & can catch on quickly, especially when cookies are involved... Right now he lives with a bunch of puppies & he's making a great step dad. He would love a home with an active person (walks are the best!) or another playful pup so he can get out his loads of energy. He gets a little antsy when he doesn't have anything to do but once he's run around enough he's cuddly & mellow as can be. Boomer was diagnosed with very mild hip dysplasia, but nothing clinically significant. This means the vet suspects he will be able to live his whole life without major clinical issues regarding his hips. Keeping him on a supplement for his joints will be very helpful for him long term!
