About ELSA - $300

ELSA was saved from a high kill shelter in Texas where dogs have just 3 dogs to be saved. ELSA is spayed, core vaccines, rabies, de-wormed, heartworm and tick disease tested negativeq and micro-chipped. She has an estimated date of birth of 4 December 2016 and at the time of hr spay surgery on 16th January 2019, she weighed 47.00 pounds.. She is listed as a Labrador mix. We have no way of knowing the exact breed, it is up to individuals to decide what breed they think is most likely. ELSA is a wonderful happy go lucky girl. She is full of life, energy and love and would make a great family addition. She has been loving to all who have met her and the vets office fell in love with her when she went for her spay surgery. She has been great with a young teenage girl and is happy to just share in the love she has. She does have a lot of energy so an active lifestyle is a must. As with all dogs basic obedience and general training is needed so that she can learn the new rules, boundaries and expectations of her new family and home. I do not know how ELSA would be around cats or livestock. Canadian adopters need to know that customs charge 15% taxes when entering into Canada. This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of pulling, vetting, health certificate, transport from Texas to Maine, monthly preventatives, supplements, food and anything else that is needed. We post in various states along the east coast and Canada where we have had lots of successful adoptions to enable more exposure for these beautiful saved souls. Families will need to be prepared to travel to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Sebec is located just outside the towns of Dover-Foxcroft and Milo (approx 8 miles) and approx 45 miles from Bangor. There are also lots of hotels, motels, pet friendly accommodations and wonderful camp-sites for the more adventurous families and what a great way to get to know your new best friend.
