About Piper

Foster Location: Spokane WA Adoption Fee: $50 Age: 2 Breed: Border Collie spayed, vaccinated, microchipped Pretty Piper is sadly in need of a new home; this girls mom loves her to pieces but has some medical issue that makes it so she can no longer care for her. Piper loves people and craves human attention! She can be a bit cautious around men initially, but once she gets to know you, she warms up very quickly! She would thrive in a home where she can be with her people more often than not - maybe a home where she could go with her person every day. Piper does get anxious when she is over stimulated so a home with no small children would be best. Your typical Border Collie; Piper is incredibly smart and trainable and has already earned her novice and intermediate trick dog titles! The sky is the limit with this girl - she is eager to learn anything you want to teach her - she'd likely excel agility. Piper would do best in a home without other pets as too much busyness and overstimulation can make her anxious. Piper has a generalized anxiety disorder but this is well managed with medication and by keeping both her mind and body active. She would do best in a home that can give her a ton of activity and stimulation through training, games, running, etc. She is house trained and does well in a crate and happily goes in there to sleep at night. Piper will come to her new home with a supply of medication (it's pretty cheap), her crate, toys, and brain games. Piper may have a few quirks but she is by far one of the sweetest dogs and we know she will thrive in the right home.
