Adoption Fee: $249
Yorkie
Age: Senior
Sex: Male

Date into Rescue: 1/15/2019 Reason for being in rescue: Owner release/ health of owner. Special Needs: Has anxiety. He also had minor skin issues before having an Cytopoint injection. We do not know exactly what caused the skin irritation and we are monitoring him for any changes. What kind of home would be best for me: Dazz needs a relaxed home with little visitors and would prefer to be the only dog. What is my personality like: Dazz arrived at the rescue very timid, and did not care much for human interaction at all. Since he has been with us he opens up a little more as time goes on. Dazz came from a home with elderly owners that loved him very much but did not socialize/train him well, leaving Dazz to be high strung and nervous. Any type of over stimulating activity like being around a lot of dogs, or a lot of people can send him into a panic. Dazz absolutely loves to go for walks and adventures but he can be a little over protective of his humans and has been known to lunge/bark at other dogs. This is something that should be worked on. Outside of his nervousness Dazz is just like any other lap dog. He enjoys curling up next to someone on the couch or even being rocked in a humans arms like a baby. Dazz truly wants to be the center of attention at all times and will let it be known. If the spotlight isn't on him, he will speak up and remind you that he is still there just waiting on your attention! Dazz is a smart, sweet boy and just needs the right owners to help him along his way. How do I act when I first meet new people: Timid in new situations but does adjust. Tips and Tidbits: Dazz needs an experienced owner who lives a quiet life and will allow him to be the only dog. House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
