SCHEDULED TO BE EUTHANIZED GOMER - A4203300 My name is GOMER. I am a neutered male, tan and white American Pit Bull Terrier mix, and I weigh about 60 lbs. The shelter staff think I am about 1 year and 1 month old, and I have been at the shelter since Jan 13, 2019. Gomer is a very high energy dog, and someone might interpret his behavior as aggressive, but he most like is seeking attention. He know how to 'sit' and 'shake', and can focus when forced to. He would benefit a lot from some 'calm' training; that is, someone who will interact with him in a calm way, not wrestling and rough-housing. Gomer does like to play with balls, and is very obviously food motiviated. He is one of those energetic dogs who will begin to deteriorate in his kennel very soon if not adopted or fostered soon. Dogs with pent-up energy from long periods of incarceration are bound to break at some point, and we hope this fine dog can be rescued before that happens.
