About Bela

Boxer mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Hi! My name is Bela! I'm a HOUSETRAINED female boxer mix, around 3 years old, and weight about 50lbs. I'm playful, affectionate, and crate trained. I love to cuddle on your lap and play with my toys. I get along great with my doggy companions though I do need a slow introduction to new dogs and people. I cannot live in a home with cats. While outside I'm usually quiet unless I see the neighbors and want to say hi! I respect my fence and can be left alone, loose in my foster's house with no worries! Meeting new people and other animals makes me get scared so I should be crated (which I go into very nicely) before visitors arrive. My foster mommy says I'm an easy and great dog to have in the family. If you are looking for a new friend like me please apply to adopt me. I've been looking for my forever family. Could it be you? This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. The disease was treated while in foster care. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Bela is up-to-date on her shots and has been spayed. She is best in a home without cats and is best in a home without small children. Bela is currently being fostered in Rising Sun , MD.
