About Hermes

Hermes is a sweet, senior boy who is looking for a quiet retirement home. He is a laid-back cat who spends his days napping in the sun and lounging on the couch. At this stage in his life, Hermes' priorities are sleeping, eating, and getting pets. He likes to sleep on the bed at night and sometimes even under the covers. Hermes came into our care when his senior owner had to go into a care facility and couldn't take him along. It took Hermes a little while to get used to his new situation, but he's settled well into his foster home for now. However, Hermes would love to find a forever home with a quiet family (ideally a single person or quiet couple) where he can live the laidback lifestyle that he's used to. Hermes is an indoor only cat. This handsome guy does have quite a thick coat, and needs to be brushed regularly. His hair is short, but he has a lot of it so if it's not brushed, Hermes can form little knots in his fur. Hermes does have a bit of a sensitive stomach so he eats a specific food that we get from the vet. He also takes a daily medication (Prednisolone), which he gets once every other day, but it's quite easy to give. Hermes has lived with other cats and was fine with them as long as they didn't get in the way of his napping or his dinner time. He has also previously lived with a gentle, a cat-savvy dog and while he didn't mind him too much, he would probably be happiest to be an only pet.
