About Thor

Thor is a 7 year old White German Shepherd. He is neutered and up to date on all vaccinations. Thor is looking for his forever home and lifelong companion. He loves playing fetch, taking long walks on the beach, car rides and naps. He's a wonderful dog and makes everyone happy with his prancing feet, his constant smile, and his incessant love for fetch. He really is a special, special boy. When Thor arrived at the rescue, he was a bloody, scabby, painful mess. He winced with every step and his skin was so bad that they had to shave his glorious coat, just to give him a chance to heal. After some blood work and testing, they found that He has an auto-immune disorder which affects his skin. It will require him to be on medications off and on for the rest of his life in order to prevent him from being in the horrible condition he was found in. The cost of medication is approximately $50 a month. Thor is truly a rescue in every sense of the word. Rescued from the horrible, painful, bloody shape he was in when brought to the shelter and the neglect that let him get that way. Rescued from the shelter where he was alone and miserable before he came to our rescue and eventually moved on to his foster home. We are looking for a special person to rescue him for the final time and give him the home that a wonderful dog like him deserves.
