About Sophie

Foster Location: Star, ID Adoption Fee: $25 Age: 3 1/2 Breed: Siamese spayed, vaccinated, microchipped Sophie came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue when her mom could no longer care for her. This pretty girl with the cute mustache is pretty scared at the moment without her mom but is coming around nicely. She loves cuddling, head rubs, playing with toys and just being in your company. She dislikes loud noises, and being picked up. She is very calm and does her own thing during the day, but will always find you and purr for hours while you give her pets. She plays fetch with her toys, and loves treats! Her previous own told us that Sophie like most Siamese likes to be a bit feisty and she will climb on furniture and will scratch despite giving her cat scratching posts. We have found that she will scratch on appropriate things if you lace them with catnip (which she loves); we suggest a few on the floor cardboard scratchers with a healthy dose of catnip on them to keep her scratching appropriate things. A quiet home where she can be at peace will be ideal, she has never met children before and we do not think she would do well with them. Sophie is also not a fan of other animals - she wants to be your one and only! This pretty girl will need an adopter who understands that when they take her home it will take a couple weeks for her to warm up; she is pretty traumatized about losing her mom. A quiet room where you can visit with her off and on would be best until she adjusts. Sophie does have an issue with her stomach that causes her to vomit now and again; the vets have put her on Royal Canin Digest Sensitive and she tolerates it very well and as long as she isn't stressed she doesn't vomit.
