About Daisy Mae

German Shepherd
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Daisy Mae had a rough patch the past year. Her owner died and there was no family member willing to care for Daisy Mae. She was neglected and her nails became so long that the curled into her pads. Daisy Mae ended up at Philadelphia Shelter. The folks at the shelter reached out to Sedona Shepherd and we were able to open up a spot in our foster program for Daisy Mae. Since coming to our foster program, Daisy has started to come out of her shell and show her fun personality. Daisy is shy with new people, but once she gets to know you, she will want to be your best friend. Daisy Mae is also extremely photogenic. We estimate Daisy Mae to be about 7 years old. Daisy Mae has some food allergies and ear infections that we have been treating. Apparently she has a fondness for fast food and bacon strips, but we have been transitioning Daisy to a more healthy diet with a few treats to get her to take her medication. Because Daisy Mae can be cautious at first with new people, we are looking for an experienced owner. She would do best in a home without young children. At first Daisy Mae ignored the cats in her foster home, but once they moved, Daisy was very interested in chasing. She appears to be ok with other dogs, though we would take our time introducing her to any adopter with another dog. A big thanks to Valerie Bruder Photography for Daisy's photoshoot.
