Name: Pixie Gender: Female (spayed) Age: About Weight: About Dogs/Cats: Great with small dogs, unknown with cats Children: No children Breed: Chihuahua Meet Pixie Pixie is a 8 year old long hair chihuahua , up to date on all shots and is chipped. She loves going outside and for short walks. She likes men and women and gets along with other small dogs in our home. She is a bit noisy towards the golden retriever next door. She is house trained but will also go on pads if she doesn't get to go out. She doesn't warm up to strangers well but after she does is very cuddly, it took her a few days to trust us. Her color reminds me of a red fox. I feel she would do best in a mature household, don't think she would do well around children. She came to us very overweight and could only walk a few steps. Now she has lost a couple pounds and is much more mobile. She does have arthritis in her legs and takes a small dose of rimadyl twice a day. She does go up and down steps now and even plays with toys, she is a much happier dog. Another side effect of weight is her cough, when she gets exited or drinks she coughs. Vet said her trachea is narrowed. Properly cared for, she has many years of love left in her. It's easy to love her big dark eyes. This dog is a CRT rescue.
