About Chica

Its a miracle that Chica is here with us today, after the ordeal she went through. She is a survivor, being shot 3 times in the home she was living in. Meeting this girl, with her gentle demeanor, you would never know what she has been through. She has fully recovered and is ready to find her new home now. She is about 2-3 years old, weighs about 75 pounds and is full grown. She is a loving, affectionate dog that loves everyone she meets. She uses a doggy door in her current foster home. We have not had her with other dogs yet, however she is non reactive to seeing them through the gate. A meet and greet will be necessary before she goes home if you have another dog. She's a powerhouse, that will need some leash training. When she puts her head down to smell the world around her, she doesn't realize you are at the other end of the leash!! She is a happy, joyful dog with a heart of gold. If you are interested in meeting Chica, let us know!!! We are a FORCE FREE rescue. The adoption contract you will be signing specifically states that you agree to NEVER use any aversive methods nor tools like a shock, prong or choke collar. We are never sure about breed because we do not do DNA (we make our best guess), so if that is important to you, this dog may not be the right choice for you. Please, consider everything when making a decision to adopt a dog. As part of your adoption package, each dog will be fully vaccinated (Da2PP, Rabies), have a microchip, and be spayed/neutered. You may need to come back to us to complete shots, spay or neuter, hw test. You will receive 6 mths of HW preventative.You will receive a free bag of premium puppy food, as well as a gift card from Choice Pet Market if you live in one of the designated zip codes . You will also receive a free complimentary physical exam with a vet. Training is MANDATORY and will be scheduled at a later date and place.
