The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less than ideal conditions so will need to be house and leash trained. Most have never lived in house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion Hi! My name is Rusty and just turned 7 years old on January 14th and I weigh 6.6 pounds. Most of my rotted teeth had to be pulled after chewing on the wire of my cage but I have a few teeth left and will need soft food. I would like a quiet home with no children and a full-time parent who will make me the center of their world. I am quiet, calm and want to please. I am a bit timid when you try and pet me or pick me up but give me time and patience, and I will be your companion and lap dog. Please give me the home I so deserve. Love, Rusty 011319-28
