The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less than ideal conditions so will need to be house and leash trained. Most have never lived in house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion Hi! My name is Simon and I am a beautiful Bichon Frise who has spent 10 �%BD years in a breeding cage. Imagine this. Where were you 10 years ago? All of these years with nothing but wire all around me in a 2x2x4 foot cage. My feet never touched the ground until I got to Colorado on 1/13/19. Ever. I had never been in a house. I am now in my rescuers house, I'm warm and my feet are not on wire. My breeder was very reluctant to let me go because I produced such beautiful puppies. My teeth were so perfect that my rescuers questioned my age but was assured by the breeder that I am in fact, 10 �%BD years old. I am timid so I need a quiet adult home where I will be the center of my new parent's world. I socialized, trained sibling would be a huge benefit for me.
