About Ava

Ava is a stray that found me about a year ago. I've been looking for her owner or a new home for her since. I work long hours and commute an hour each way to work and feel she needs someone who can spend more time with her. I kennel her during the day when I'm gone because she tends to get anxious and will pace the entire time I'm gone (I watch her on my security camera). She is extremely sweet and loves to play with squeaky toys and with me. We play every evening and walk twice a day. She loves kids and loves the attention they give her but does not like it if they try to pull her fluffy tail or hold her in place. Petting is her limit. She lives with a cat and loves to play with her. She has also lived with two small dogs and did well with them. She is a little afraid of larger dogs. Since she is a stray, I believe she is a mix and we believe she is about 7 years old. I haven't been able to confirm if she has been spayed or not. However, she has not gone into heat in the year I've had her. She would do best in a home where someone is around most of the day, where there is another small pet, (preferably female) and no small children. She has been a joy and brought me much laughter, but I feel I am harming her by keeping her kenneled so much. She is up to date on all vaccinations and has had her teeth cleaned. Please help me find a new, permanent, furever home for this sweet, deserving, baby.
