This 1 year old, Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix has had a whirlwind of a young life. At 6 months of age, she found herself in a crowded shelter on a Euthanasia list. She was pulled by some very kind ladies and their local rescue which brought her to Lafayette, IN. She was adopted in April and named Rosey. Rosey is rambunctious and likes to be busy. She loves toys and needed to be taught things by her adopters. Unfortunately, Rosey was not given those opportunities in her first home. She quickly turned into a 55 pound teenager who still behaves like a puppy. At this point, her story turns sad again. Rosey was found as a local stray and her first disappointing family, which was supposed to be a forever family, never came for her. We would like to give Rosey the best forever home. She is likely too much for small children and cats. Rosey appears to be dog selective. With her bouncy energy, she may be best as an only dog so new owners can spend their time shaping her into the best dog she can be. Rosey is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. Her $175 adoption fee is sponsored to a family who will acquire dog training classes for her. Rosey needs love, patience, and stability. She also would like a lot of toys!
