About Thanos

Handsome, little Thanos is looking for a forever home. He is a 7 month old pit mix puppy. Thanos has an adventurous spirit. This ultimately led to his attempt at escaping a crate when he was alone that ended with a twisting leg break that resulted in a back leg amputation. We think this makes him even more special. Thanos is a tripod. We believe Thanos would do well in a situation with a fenced yard where he can safely burn off energy. He also is learning to have three legs and needs to build up muscle to support himself. He gets tired pretty easily now, but his current circumstances with no fenced yard, does not allow him to move freely to work on this. Thanos does fine in a crate when he realizes there is no way to get out. We would recommend using zip ties to secure the seams and the gate latches when he is left unsupervised. Beyond this, he is a typical puppy that sometimes has bad ideas and needs basic supervision, training, and puppy proofing the house. We believe that if Thanos has a doggy playmate or access to the Dog Park and a fenced yard....that it would be his recipe for success. Thanos currently lives with cats and children. He does well with dogs, too. Thanos is very cuddly and loves to be on the couch next to his people. Thanos had some potty training set backs with his major surgery, but he is working on it. We feel the fenced yard would also help with this immensely. Thanos is up to date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped.
