About Cappy

Due to job loss and severe financial debt, I have to rehome Cappy. He is an 8 year old AKC registered pure bred German Shepherd, around 90 pounds. He is neutered, house and crate trained, very good natured, good with adults, kids and dogs, not cats and small animals, used to being outside mainly in the past year, has been covered for heartworm up until October of '17, always covered for fleas and ticks. Saved from bloat in 2017, can never get bloat again, stomach attached to abdominal wall. He has arthritis in his spine above his hips so he cannot jump up or climb but can still go up and down stairs, he has an old injury which was treated by my vet to a back paw pad but still bothers him so he is limping. Some days are better than others. He loves to play tug games and is a very affectionate dog. *****Due to how long I have had him, how traumatic this will be at first being away from me and his brother, and his current medical conditions, I will be asking to see where he will be living. I want to make sure that the home he will be in, is safe for an animal of his size, making sure he has a fenced in yard and an established vet he will see. The adoption fee is non negotiable as to assure that the adopter can in fact afford to take Cappy on.
