About Bert

Meet Bert! He has a one of a kind disposition and will make a fabulous dog for a lucky person or family! He is an exuberant young dog, 8-10 months old, weighing 50 pounds. He is happy to be alive and up for a walk, hike or jog, but is a great cuddle bug, too, and enjoys sleeping on your bed if allowed! Because he is still young and learning, you need to be prepared to spend some time with him so that he will continue to blossom into the really great dog that he is becoming. He plays well with others and the foster home that he is in has 5 other dogs for him to romp with. Two are close to his size but 3 are smaller and he was found with an 18 pound male dog, Ernie, a cairn terrier mix, also listed here. Bert is learning to be housebroken, doggy door and crate trained and ready to find his forever home! He currently lives with a 7 & 8 year old, but he doesn't yet know how to be as gentle as he needs to be with kids that small and sometimes bumps them, so at this point in his young life, older kids would be best. Bert was taken to a big dog event and was completely unfazed by the crowds of people and other dogs. Bert's adoption donation is $250. He is neutered, current on shots, dewormed and micro chipped.
