About Beans

Beans is a handsome, loyal, playful, intense and sensitive, 65-pound, six-year-old male, Rhodesian Ridgeback-mix looking for a loving guardian. Beans walks beautifully on leash, is great in the car and is an excellent running partner. He can live in an apt, condo, or a house with a yard. He's not picky about where he lives; he is just looking for a devoted person or couple to share his life with. Beans is a canine athlete happy to chase a ball in the yard, or a snowball in the winter. He can be anxious about fast movements, loud noises and new people, so ideally, he's looking for an all-adult home. Beans is perfectly housebroken, crate-trained and well-behaved in house. He knows the commands sit, down and paw and takes treats gently from your fingers. He goes to doggie daycare but can be selective of his dog friends. He's lived with another dog, and has visited with dog-friendly cats. He's an intense dog who settles down with those he loves to enjoy a butt scratch. Thunderstorms and fireworks make him nervous. He goes and hides in his crate; it's his safe place. And, he's accustomed to sleeping in his crate at night. Beans is very healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly heartworm preventative.
