About Little Anne

German Shepherd mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

3/18/19 Update from Little Anne's foster mom: Little Anne is looking for her perfect forever home! She's wants a house with no stairs and would enjoy her people to be around a lot and loves other animals. She's about 8 years old and 55lbs. Anne loves to hang out and sleep, eat and get love on the regular. She's doesn't really want to go on walks but will if they are short. She just wants to get back to her hang out spot! She's a little timid but will bond quickly and be your best bud. Anne has some fatty tumors but they have been biopsied and she's in the clear. They may have to be removed at some point if they get bothersome. She's literally the sweetest dog I've ever met and deserves an amazing home in which to spend her golden years. 1/29/19 Update from Little Anne's foster mom: She's doing so well now that she has a clean bill of health. She still doesn't love walks but I'm working on it! She's looking for her forever home! She's such a special girl I'm really hoping for a unicorn to adopt her. Here's my wish list in case you know them: retired or older mellow person/s with lots of time and love! They should also have a little bit of resources because she will need some medical care as she gets older and maybe regular meds. She does well with other pets. She really wants to hang out on her bed, sleep, eat, and get some love. Pretty easy dog! Please share and ponder!! Little Anne is a 7 year old female shepherd mix. She weighs about 55 pounds. Sweet Little Anne was surrendered to the shelter with her brother Big Dan. They were found living in the home of their deceased owner. :( She came into rescue in rough shape but with the loving care of her foster, Jennifer, and our excellent veterinarian, she is now ready for adoption! Anne is an older dog with a few lumps and bumps on her body (all benign!) and the very, very beginning of kidney disease. She is not on any medication or special diets at this time, but a high quality diet is required to help put off any further kidney issues as long as possible. She has had a few biospies xrays, bloodwork, an ultrasound and a few lumps removed and has been screened for cancer which is all clear. She gets her stitches out tomorrow so the search for her forever home can begin!!! Other dogs and cats are good. Older kids OK but she's timid so a home with calm and routine would be best. She doesn't want to do much but sleep on her pad and come over for head scratches. She doesn't even bark when the doorbell rings or someone comes over. She is a very sweet girl looking for a comfy place to call home. Very good at potty ... goes outside on the regular with no accidents and seems to know basic commands. She doesn't love walking on a leash but she will do it! She is a super sweet, easy dog to have around. Adoption contract and fee applies.
